We have an estimated closing time - "Mid July". They seem to be trying to get things done, but it's frustrating watching the progress. Like pouring the driveway on the adjacent unit, but not ours. Like finishing the air conditioner install on 5 other units, but not ours.
But we do now have a driveway, the insulation is blown, they'll be landscaping soon. The list has a lot of items in progress, but finishing them seems to be like pulling teeth.

Around the end of January Lynne points out that the new construction in our neighborhood has progressed to the point were they are starting on the units that we would be most interested in. In December I had gone for a walk and the lot was still untouched. In about 2 months it progressed to framing complete, electrical and plumbing rough done.
They put the shingles on the roof just as we saw it for the first time.
Typing this up in mid May, we are just about to have the water and sewer working, and power won't be too far behind. I have a trove of pictures up this point, plus a few from some of the other units that fill in some project steps that happened before we looked at our for the first time.
We signed on the dotted line and wrote the earnest money check. Then I started going by nearly every day. At first, progress was quick and obvious. We had good weather until about the end of April, and the exterior came together.
The view out the back, up the hill.
Exterior mostly done, wall insulation installed. Sheetrock delivered.
3 weeks later, sheetrock is done.
The back area will be nice when it grows in.

Decided to create a blog branch to track the progress on the new condo. There are a lot of pictures, and I don't want to clutter up the main blog with too much boring detail on home construction.
Here I can post lots of pictures and notes pertinent to the home.
Let's start with some early pictures.
Here's what it looked like when we pulled the trigger.
Framing done, electrical and plumbing rough done.
The view from up the hill. We have an open area in the back that has limited access. I can just step over the fence.
